The renowned design trio Claesson Koivisto Rune gave the infamous restaurant Portal by Klas Lindberg a bar with the same name. Deep blue walls radiate in the warm light of the copper lamp shades that the troika designed for the Swedish producer Wästberg. Just as central as the coziness, is the use of natural materials – such as the oak of the doors and tables or the Swedish stone used for the floors and counters. All doors of the bar come from other parts of the building and were carefully restored for their second life in the Bar Portal.
Famous artist Jesper Waldersten was commissioned by Claesson Koivisto Rune to design walls and ceilings. It was the first time that he contributed to such a project. The flowing figures spread throughout all rooms and were given the name “Dante’s Ocean” by Walderstern
