“Did you know that even mermaids just wanna have fun?” asks The Coral restaurant on its website. A visit to the restaurant itself confirms this: Mermaids can have a lot of fun here. The restaurant from Berlin restaurateur and entrepreneur Marcel Voß invites you to immerse yourself in a decelerated (underwater) world.

In the kitchen, chef Domenique Rudloff and his team create Italian-Japanese fusion cuisine, reinterpret classics and create their own creations. The modern sharing concept ensures that the table is filled with many small, perfectly thought-out bites.

The interior is inspired by the splendor of colorful coral reefs and designed with great attention to detail. For the project, Voß and designer Ramona Portugalov went on a worldwide search for the best materials. They discovered rare onyx from India and high-quality marble from Italy, which are used for furniture and walls.

The turquoise-colored pipes on the ceiling and a rushing waterfall give guests the feeling of dining in an exclusive underwater world. Seating comfort is also taken care of: all chairs are upholstered in fine fabrics.

On the menu, “The Coral Plate” offers a mix of sushi, pizza and tuna.
